Meeting minutes for December 14, 2011
The meeting was opened with a prayer at 6:50 by the Chairman Roger Tremblay.
In attendance: Bob Anastasoff, Mike Pendergrass, Ray Roy, Bob Belair, Marcel Martel, Dick Dion, Mike Dion, Roger Gobeil, Roger Tremblay and Dick Tardif. John Thibault and Guy Peloquin were excused.
Meeting Minutes - Mike Pendergrass, Secretary: The minutes of the November meeting were presented. Marcel Martel moved to accept the minutes. Dick Tardif seconded. Approved 10,0.
Financial Report - Marcel Roy, Treasurer: The Association’s financial report for the current fiscal year through November 30th was presented. With all current bills paid, the general fund had a balance of $8,386.35. It was moved by Marcel Martel and seconded by Dick Tardif to accept the report as presented. Approved 10,0.
Communications:
Thank you letter from Andre Gagne for the use of the hall for a funeral lunch. A $100.00 donation to the Alumni was included.
Thank you letter from the Class of 1961 of St. Louis, St. Joseph’s and St. Andre’s High Schools for the use of the hall. A $264.00 donation was included.
Committees:
Bingo - Marcel Roy presented the report for November. Revenues were $712.31. After expenses and donations the Bingo account had a bank balance of $7,731.57 on 11/30. The report was placed into the permanent record.
Sealed Tickets - Mike Pendergrass presented the report for November. Revenue was $1,695.00 After expenses and donations the Sealed Ticket account had a bank balance of $7,929.83 on 11/30. The report was placed into the permanent record.
Facilities/Hall Rentals - Dick Dion: Dick reported the hood for the kitchen has been installed, including a new venting system. Total cost: $180.00. Several hall rentals for December and two already booked for 2012.
Property - Dick Tardif: Nothing to report.
Newsletter - Ray Roy: The next Newsletter is scheduled for May, 2012.
Membership - Marcel Martel: Nothing to report.
IT- Bob Anastasoff: Bob reported the activity on the website increased to over 1,500 in November. The Newsletter, Board minutes and deceased led the interest. Roger Gobeil reported that individual web pages were now posted for the following classes: 1936, 1938, 1958, 1960, and 1965. Those interested in developing a individual web page for their class should contact Roger directly at gobe100@gmail.com.
Nominating - Bob Belair: The Nominating Committee has met once since it’s formation. One definite candidate, and two possibilities have come forward.
Community Relations - John Thibault: Mike Dion in John’s absence gave the report. A survey was conducted at the Thanksgiving Party as to what members would like to see the Alumni do for activities, increase membership, etc.. 31 participants provided input, which will be helpful in developing a plan for the coming years.
Trustees - Marcel Roy: In response to the request made at the November meeting, the following balances were provided for the investment accounts.
As of September 30th Brother Richard Hebert Scholarship Fund $73,518.35
As of September 30th St. Louis Scholarship Fund $103, 715.75
As of November 30th St. Louis Investment Account $86,077.73

GOOD OF THE ORDER:
The Christmas Party will Friday December 16th. Social hour begins at 5:30 and pork pies will be served at 6:30. Norm Sevigny donated all the materials and made the pork pies for the party.
Marcel indicated that the Mass for the Living Members is deferred until 2012. Info will be posted.
Next meeting will be January 11, 2012.
With no further business before the Board, Mike Dion moved, Dick Dion seconded to adjourn at 7:55. Approved 10,0.
