                14th Annual Golf Tournament

The 14th Annual Golf Tournament was another fund-
raising success.  This event helps us raise money for two
golf scholarships.  Thanks to Mike Dion and his Golf
Committee for all their hard work.  Thanks also to all the
sponsors, volunteers, and golfers.

 Your Alumni Association Needs You

In the May newsletter we asked for someone to step up
and chair the 50/50.  No one has responded.  So some
members of the Board have been running the 50/50 as
well as fulfilling their other responsibilities for the Alumni.
The 50/50 has been a help in paying some of the general
expenses of running the Hall.  We've been running the
50/50 for nearly thirty years and it would be a shame to
lose it due to a lack of volunteers.  We run three series a
year, and for each one someone needs to hand out tickets
to the captains and collect the money.  We're now on
Series 98.  After Series 100, if no one has stepped up,
the 50/50 may be canceled.
Is this something you could do either alone or with a friend?

Alumni Hall (282-2285) and leave a message.

* Beano on Monday Nights at 6:30 PM.

* Thanksgiving Party on November 28

* Christmas Party on December 19.

Both holiday events start with a Social Hour at 5:00 PM
followed by dinner.

We appreciate all the Life Members who sent in donations in
response to the article in the May Newsletter.  Your newsletter
reaches out to Life Members far from the Biddeford Saco area.
Such as, in Chillicothe, IL, Life Member George Reny (Class
of 1946) staying in touch with the Association through the
newsletter.  He would like information or an address of Napolian
(Nap) Spinard or anyone else from the class of 1946. If you can
help George, leave the information at the Hall.

 The Alumni's mission is dedicated to youth. It does still work that
way. At the October's Meeting, the Board unanimously passed a
$600 donation to the Biddeford Youth Hockey Program so one of
the teams on the ice would be wearing St. Louis jerseys.
Also passed was a yearly $3000 donation to the St. James
Athletic Program. Monies are raised through the hard work of
Members who volunteer at Beano every Monday night. We can
always use more helping hands. Members who have
worked these events have fun and know that their efforts go to
support local youth programs.

* A Life Member who belonged and paid his annual dues to the Association for 25 years.
